Prism Visual Software, based in Port
Washington, N.Y., develops software
for the product delivery and field-service
industries, offering both desktop
and Web-based applications.
It
is in the wireless arena that Prism
Visual (www.prismvs.com),
founded in 1997, has been making the
biggest splash. It was named to the
ComputerWorld Top 100 Emerging Companies
to Watch for 2002, and also received
the Outstanding Technology Firm Award
2001 from the National Minority Business
Council.
The
ComputerWorld award highlighted Prism’s
software, which utilizes palm handheld
computers. The company’s ServQuest,
ServMeter, and RoadQuest products
are Web-based, wireless applications
and serve the field service, utility,
and route delivery industries. The
systems integrate with Palm computers,
cell phone WAP applications, and/or
browsers via Internet tool kits. The
systems offer operational routing/dispatching,
and an integrated financial backend
with a variety of wireless options.
