Prism Visual Software

Port Washington, NY. Aberdeen Group, a leading IT market analysis and positioning service firm headquartered in Boston, selected Prism Visual Software located in Port Washington, NY, as a winner for Aberdeen’s annual Best Practice Report entitled “What Works: Ten Significant Data Deployments.”

Aiming to separate “rumor from fact”, Aberdeen invited sixty providers of mobile data technologies and services to submit their best customer story on mobile data implementation with handhelds of the past twelve months.

Of the seventeen submitted case studies, Aberdeen selected ten finalists of which Prism Visual Software was one. The other nine finalists of the Aberdeen study are internationally established companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Symbol Technologies, or Sierra Wireless.

Prism’s featured customer, LinCo Services, uses Prism’s mobile “MiniMate” software for its field Force. The solution implemented by Prism combines handheld devices, route management, accounting, and equipment service dispatch software. Prism’s software impressed the Aberdeen research team for its maturity, strength, and versatility.  With the other nine case studies, Prism’s wireless software solution proves that the appropriate deployment of enterprise applications in a mobile wireless environment continues to make sound business sense.

Aberdeen's report is available in two versions.  One is a free, abridged version available as a download at Aberdeen’s website and includes an overview of the key findings in the analysis section as well as case studies of Mobile Data Deployments Best Practice implementations from select vendors.  The other version is the full report of the study, featuring complete descriptions and results of all ten companies.  It is available online at a list price of $495.
